What We Believe
We are a Conservative, Reformed church which seeks to found all that we are and do on the Word of God.  We believe that what the Bible teaches is best summarized in the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms.  You can review these Westminster Standards at http://arpsynod.org/resources.htm

A short summary of important truths that we affirm are as follows :

• We exist to worship our Creator, the one true God, who exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

• The Scriptures are God-breathed, inerrant, and infallible and the only perfect guide for what we should believe and how we should live.

• All people are born sinners and fail to live up to God's perfect standards.  Therefore no one deserves to go to heaven.

• Jesus Christ is the only Savior from our sins.  He is both fully God and fully man.  He alone lived a perfect life on this earth.  He died as an atoning sacrifice for sin and rose victoriously from the grave.  He now lives and reigns at the right hand of His Father in heaven and He is coming again to gather up His people and to judge the wicked.

• Salvation is by God's grace alone.  It is received through faith alone and cannot be earned in any way by our works.  Salvation was purchased for us through the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ, and is applied to us by the Holy Spirit.

• The Church is Christ's covenant community.  That we are called to love and care for one another, and to actively share the Good News of the Word of God with the entire world until Christ returns at the end of age.
